Jennie Nurse

2012 - Present: Headteacher at Catherine Junior School

Jennie is the Headteacher at Catherine Junior School where she has worked since 2012.

Jennie started her teaching career as English and music lead at Kingsway Primary School, Braunstone in 2000. Jennie left Kingsway to teach at a British School in Valencia, Spain. In 2008 Jennie returned to England where she secured a job at Caldecote Community Primary School in Braunstone. She was promoted to maths lead a short while later during the introduction of the new Mathematics curriculum, which she then led and implemented across the school. Jennie left Caldecote for a job at Avenue Primary School in Clarendon Park; a completely different type of school with a different demographic. She worked as Year leader, Assistant Head and Maths lead at Avenue for 4 years; a challenging but enjoyable role and one where she gained a huge amount of leadership experience. She became Deputy Head teacher at Catherine Junior School in 2012 and in 2016 she became the Headteacher, moving the school from Requires Improvement into Good with Outstanding features during her first year as head.

As an experienced school leader Jennie has expertise in the areas of primary standards and curriculum; data; finance; education HR and has an ability to provide robust challenge to primary leaders.

Allison Tripney

2017 - Present: Head of Community at Leicester City Football Club

Allison is the Head of Community at Leicester City Football Club where she has worked since 2017.  Prior to this Alli worked in the West Midlands where she led alternative provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils within a football context. Alli has experience of strategic leadership within a Local Authority and is a former Head of English. 

Alli has experience of leading change, strategy and business plan implementation, partnership development and project management. 

Kieron Hall

Term of office start: 12/07/2020

Term of office end: 12/06/2024

2018- Present: Nexans CEO

Kieron brings with him over 20 years’ private sector experience for UK and overseas listed companies.  He has worked at all levels during this time, including Executive and Board. Kieron is well qualified with an MBA, Chartered Marketer, Business Studies degree and Black Belt at Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement.            

Kieron has a broad skill set and has been heavily involved in leading change, improvements and sharing best practice across a wide range of elements including safety, HR, finance, marketing, sales, stakeholder management and strategy.

Miranda Cannon

Term of office start: 01/01/2016

Term of office end: 07/07/2024

2011 - Present: Director of Delivery, Communications and Political Governance, Leicester City Council

Miranda is a Director within Leicester City Council where her responsibilities include communications, human resources and governance. She brings the ability to develop governance frameworks and strategy, engage stakeholders and manage risk along with the skills to challenge and drive improvement arising from previous knowledge and experience gained from working for the Audit Commission and subsequently as a management consultant for KPMG. Prior to becoming a Trustee and Chair of the Trust Board she was a governor at Babington for a number of years including a period as Vice Chair and the Chair arising from her desire to put her knowledge and skills to use in a way which will help the achievement of children and young people in the City. Miranda is currently the chair of the Trust Board.

Bernadette Green

Term of office start: 19/03/2018            

Term of office end: 19/03/2021

2007 - 2017 - Headteacher at Crownhills Community College

Bernadette retired in August 2017 from the Headship of Crown Hills Community College in Leicester after 10 years. During that time, she led the college through 3 highly successful Ofsted inspections, as well as leading on the design and move into a brand new school. In her final year at the college she made the preparations for a major expansion in pupil numbers and an ensuing increase in staffing and temporary accommodation. Prior to taking up the post at Crown Hills, Bernadette was the Head Teacher of Riverside Community College. She successfully led the school out of Special Measures after only 16 months. Bernadette worked as a Team Inspector for Ofsted for a number of years until July 2019. She also carried out consultancy work between 2017 and 2019 which included audits for Leicester City LA and supporting for two terms a Leicestershire School deemed inadequate by Ofsted in June 2017. Bernadette is currently a Governor at WQE Sixth Form College.

Julie Rawle

Term of office start: 08/07/2016

Term of office end: 07/07/2024

June 2015 - Present: Headteacher ALP

Julie is experienced in implementing Equality practices in the workplace and has managed the induction of all new staff at a large college with respect to equality and diversity training. She is trained in safer recruitment practices and has implemented staffing restructures as well as leading on all HR activities including those related to absence management, disciplinary matters, complaints and grievances. She is the Head of Schools for two independent special schools specialising in meeting the needs of children and young people with ASD. Julie has qualified as a SENCo and has her NPQH.

Previously, Julie worked at Leicester College of FE as their Learner Engagement Manager. She has over 12 years’ experience in youth and community work and her particular area of focus and expertise is in equality and diversity issues within education. Julie has been a governor for several years.

Paul Wilson

Term of office start: 12/12/2017                           

Term of office end: 12/12/2024

2008 - Present: Principal at Regent College

Paul has extensive teaching and leadership experience within schools and colleges. He has been Principal of Regent College, a diverse, multicultural and inclusive Sixth Form College in central Leicester, since 2008. He has led the development of an inclusive curriculum with academic and vocational provision from Entry to Advanced level. Since 2013 he has been Chair of the Tertiary Federation Leicester (TFL), the partnership leading and promoting collaboration between the Leicester based post 16 providers, and he is a board member of the cross phase Leicester Education Strategic Partnership (LESP). He has been Chair of the AOC East Midlands Sports Portfolio Group, as well as a national board member of AOC sport and is an FA licensed football coach and mentor. Paul is also a mentor to aspiring leaders who are following the sixth form leadership development programme and is a Governor with link responsibilities for teaching and learning in a city secondary school.

Daniel Giardiello 

Term of office start: 14/10/2020 

Term of office end: 13/10/2024 

2016- Present: Senior Partnership manager for Arbor Education 

Daniel is a former Leicestershire teacher and school senior leader of 13 years who for the past 4 years has worked as a Senior Partnership manager for Arbor Education, England's fastest growing Cloud MIS supplier to schools.  

In his role for Arbor, Daniel oversees a team who build relationships with MATs that are looking to bring about efficiencies in the way that they operate, whilst also improving the timeliness and quality of insight they gather from the data they hold across their IT systems.  

Having worked as a Deputy Head in SEN for a large portion of his teaching career, Daniel also takes a keen interest in looking into the ways in which schools and trusts cater for students who are either vulnerable or have particular Social, Emotional and mental Health Needs.  

Outside of Education, Daniel is a singer and guitarist who plays in various ensembles and bands in the Leicestershire area.
